This fund is targeted at community groups in Gwynedd to enable them to trial new activities that will contribute towards their long-term sustainability and provide new services.
The money will be available for communities to create feasibility studies, business plans, activities or to buy equipment to encourage them to be more sustainable. £100,000 has been put into the fund and community groups will be able to apply for up to £10,000.
So far there have been four rounds of the Piloting fund, and we have helped 17 community groups through funding various trial projects.
Here are a few examples of community groups that we’ve helped;
• Business plan for Tafarn yr Heliwr, Nefyn.
• Bought technological equipment for Siop Griffiths, Penygroes for them to run technology workshops for kids
• Feasibility studies for Meithrinfa Maesywaun, GISDA, Neuadd Mynytho and more.
