The project focused on the latest technology to create a virtual world based on the situation of a person living with dementia. It created a digital world, pushing the boundaries of innovative use of technology to this end. Users of the technology were as part of the digital world and interacted fully via a sensor on their hands, that allowed them to open doors, lift objects and feel as if they are living with dementia.

The aim of the project was to create a resource to be used to raise awareness of dementia with a wide range of groups within communities, and also to provide training for people who come into contact with people living with dementia daily in their work. The company that was commissioned to develop the Virtual experience was Galactig.

The technology was demonstrated in a roadshow that travelled around Libraries and Community centres in Gwynedd and recevied a positive response from the public.
