Assist local businesses in Gwynedd into economic recovery following the challenges of COVID-19

Transforming Towns is intended to assist local businesses in Gwynedd in economic recovery following the challenges of COVID-19. The research will examine the needs of Pwllheli businesses as an example, looking at the best ways to deliver benefits that have been identified by businesses and residents in the town.
A consultant specializing in the field will carry out the research, and will-
• Identify the challenges facing the High Street both now and in the medium term by producing a detailed questionnaire for businesses and residents of Pwllheli town
• Identify and short-list potential solutions on the High Street with examples from other areas
• Make links with local representatives (Community advice, business forum based on the typology developed to discuss pressing and medium-term challenges and opportunities and understand any local networks that exist to support the businesses / enterprises. This will allow us to find additional local information about what people would like to see in terms of support
• Hold discussions with suitable representatives of Gwynedd Council to understand any relevant research that has already been undertaken
• Prepare a report summarizing the results of the above to support the progress of the project
• Develop a series of recommendations that will be supported by the businesses and residents of the town
