The aim of Prosiect15 was to provide a platform for successful and inspiring individuals to give 15 minute ‘TED’ style talks through the medium of Welsh. There are Welsh speakers to be found in professions with some of the world’s leading organisations, brands across the globe and individuals affiliated with all sorts of interesting occupations worldwide.

Prosiect15 invited 5 inspiring Welsh-speaking individuals from completely different backgrounds to share their experiences in 15 minute talks to challenge, inspire and evoke discussion.

The project group identified individuals who had interesting stories from different sectors and back-grounds, to participate in a format similar to the TED style lecture and held at Pontio, Bangor University’s Innovation Centre on the 8th June 2016.

The following speakers were identified for the first event –

• Professor Richard Wyn Jones, Director of the Wales Governance Centre, Cardiff University.
• Malcolm Allen, International footballer.
• Lowri Morgan, The world famous ultra-marathon runner.
• Dr Rhys Davies the Consultant neurologist from Walton.
• Ceryl Davies, prominent in the study of Social Sciences.

The event was attended by 99 people and received a great deal of attention in the press and on local media. Each conversation was filmed and placed on Prosiect 15’s website, YouTube channel, and to these were also available via Arloesi Gwynedd Wledig. The Prosiect 15 is arranging a series of follow up events using the format develop by Arloesi Gwynedd Wledig.
